The 2016 Denver Broncos season will be the franchise's upcoming 47th season in the National Football League, the 57th overall and the second under head coach Gary Kubiak. The Broncos will enter the season as defending Super Bowl champions, and will attempt to compete for another Super Bowl run after undergoing numerous roster changes.

The off-season has thus far been dominated by a quarterback controversy, following the retirement of Peyton Manning. Brock Osweiler, Manning's backup quarterback during the past four seasons, signed with the Houston Texans as a free agent. Mark Sanchez was acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Broncos selected Paxton Lynch during the first round of the draft. Sanchez, Lynch and second-year quarterback Trevor Siemian are expected to battle for the starting quarterback position during the off-season and preseason.
